GALLATIN

Gallatin became the inaugural Nicest Place in America in 2017, an honor bestowed by Reader's Digest. The 217-year-old city, located 23 miles northeast of Nashville, is experiencing tremendous population and job growth with no property tax increase in 12 years. The City is known for its grit and grace - a combination of work ethic, ageless style, and a spirit that embodies Gallatin.

Gallatin's Opportunity Zone stretches from the historic downtown, across established neighborhoods, to the edge of its industrial center and regional airport.

The Opportunity Zone includes a hospital, the Sumner County Board of Education, City Hall, Sumner County courts, and pockets of undeveloped land.
